This trip is named after that movie Pop about three generations of males on a road trip together. We are on a road trip to Ithaca with three of our own generations reading a second generation book called Go Dog Go.
Nike, our new next door neighbor hosted a $3 million (!!!!!) party for themselves (it lasted only 3 hours!). I told Sadie they were doing it for her birthday. This is where I used to take a bath too when I was a baby:
New favorite game: stand up, fall down on butt. Here she is mid-air:
Sadie has been visiting A LOT of New York City's gardens this summer. Here she is with her friends Margaret, Catlin and ? (their unborn baby) at their community garden. They showed her how to turn compost and dispose of dead rats that are sometimes found in gardens.
One of the girls has really dirty knees from the playground. Those knees are getting a lot of use, racking up the miles. maybe they'll give us a free flight someday. or maybe just 8 hours at a stretch to sleep...
Here's Sadie giving a point to her fellow subway rider/taking a break from chewing on her foot:Here is Sadie enjoying a sound art piece at the UBS gallery opening:
Nothing can stop Sadie anymore. now when Trixie is in her path she climbs over her. Today some tourists from Taiwan took turns posing with Sadie for pictures. next time were charging $$. This was the trial run.
I'm going a little crazy. so here is an aside. instead of a post about Sadie I am reporting on our visit to Bushwick to see Zak and this empty lot. Zak and I used to live across the street but the lot was very barren then. now it has very tall weeds and a pretty tall sculpture by Ben. It is next door to a weird daycare center called The Bruce High Quality Foundation. I checked it out but I don't think I will be sending Sadie there because the child attendants were unfriendly. I have a new blog about gardeners http://thegardenersofnyc.blogspot.com/
