Shes not crawling yet but I did put her down on the mat, turned my back and the next minute she was all the way over yonder. Its what we call the butt scoot.

I know we post a lot of pictures of Sadie eating but we spend a lot of the time eating and trying new foods. Today she ate a whole container of yogurt. a little sugar goes a long way baby

so exhausted from her rigorous sleep training, Sadie went in early for her nap. with Trixie. and yes, in the bathroom. its the only quiet place to catch a nap sometimes.

Sadie's shmoozing in the big leagues now with museum trustees and Jean-Louis Bourgeois. She seems to inherently understand the importance of eye contact:

She passed out before we got home as usual. She's pretty much all or nothing when it comes to the party scene.

Now that Sadie's spent some quality time with her grand-folks she thinks I should be more doting. they've set the standard pretty high I must say...
Here she is sitting on Lani's lap in West Roxbury. Graeme decided to sit on Sadie's lap but she shoved him off.
These are Sadie's new big girl friends Annabelle and Olivia. They live next door to her grandparents and have already taught her many big girl secrets and passed on some cool baby gear.

Sometimes we have to encase Sadie in plastic so she can take a nap. I know its twisted but she falls right to sleep.

So much has happenend since we last posted...

Dad got home from Switzerland, Sadie learned to do the watermelon dance, learned to share and Mom and Sadie went away leaving Dad behind this time.

1st trip to Brighton Beach! and a visit from Steve Brown!

Sadie didn't like the water so much but she didn't mind all the sand in her mouth.


He said he had some business to do in Greenwich but I have a hunch that Steve Brown just wanted to see his #1 grand-god daughter Sadie and that is why he decided to drive all the way to NY from DC and back in one day!

Queens and junk Food

Like the Olafur Eliasson show at MoMA where Sadie sat in the spotlight. Almost immediately she was surrounded by journalists reporters and tourists taking her picture. We also went to see the Deiter Roth film "Dot" but had to leave because Sadie was very afraid of the dot.

Things are really heating up between Sadie and Jack. Might be time for a little talk, mom and daughter.

We had to switch to larger foods since Sadie choked on a blackberry yesterday. I am happy to report that the infant CPR DVD that I borrowed from netflix provided the information I needed to safe Sadie's life. I am also surprised I remembered how to administer it.Trixie likes bubbles more than Sadie. This is a picture of her eating bubbles. Yesterday Jaya was blowing bubbles for Trixie and she accidentally swallowed the wand. I panicked as I thought of my outstanding balance to the SOHO animal hospital. Zak gave Trixie the Heimlich maneuver, which did not produce the wand, but did make Trixie fart. Then we realized that the wand was on the floor, not in her throat. Thanks Zak for your daring heroism.

I have never seen Sadie enjoy a toy as much as she did this bulldozer at Tricia's place:Today I had 3 people attending to all my needs so I could have some ME time. Heidi and Zak and Jaya all took turns entertaining Sadie while I did my thing and then Jaya cooked the most amazing pesto from scratch I have ever tasted.

Sadie ate apples again today!
She also tried out some new hat styles, including a large brim reminiscent of her grandma, and a handkerchief "hat" reminiscent of her grandpa.
